This is an independent estimate, not an official assessment.
Actual duty is determined by the Ghana Revenue Authority via its own valuation system (ICUMS/CRMS), which may value your vehicle differently from the figures used here. Use this for budgeting only — it is not affiliated with GRA and does not replace or contest an official customs assessment.
How is this estimate calculated?
We apply Ghana's published customs duty structure to your declared FOB/CIF value: Import Duty, VAT, NHIL, GET Fund Levy, ECOWAS Levy, Network Charge, Special Import Levy, EXIM Levy, Withholding Tax, African Union Levy, plus fixed inspection and processing fees. For Sedan/SUV/EV, CIF is calculated as FOB plus a fixed freight & insurance amount for that body type; for trucks and commercial vehicles, CIF is entered directly. Exchange rates are pulled from a live source and refreshed regularly.
  • Rates and fee structures can change — always confirm with a licensed customs agent or GRA before shipping.
  • Vehicles over 10 years old from date of manufacture may face an overage penalty or be refused entry entirely.
  • GRA's own reference-price system (ICUMS/CRMS) may assess your vehicle's value differently from your declared figures.
